This fine art lithograph by acclaimed sporting artist Ros Goody, originally painted in 1983, captures an elderly gamekeeper resting atop a hay wagon with his walking crook, surrounded by braced game pheasants and fellow sporting folk.

Rendered with sensitive draughtsmanship and soft watercolour washes, this piece is an exceptionally low print number from the run—individually numbered 11/500 in pencil to the lower left margin and hand-signed in pencil by Ros Goody to the lower right.

Presented under glass in an ivory mount and set within a substantial antique-style fluted wood frame finished in mottled aged gold with subtle red clay undertones. Strung with hanging cord on the reverse, ready to bring classic country house warmth to a study, boot room, or rustic interior.

Key Details & Dimensions

Artist: Ros Goody (signed and dated 1983 in plate, also signed in pencil)

Subject: Country pursuits / Gamekeeper on hay wagon with pheasants

Edition: Limited edition 11 of 500, signed and numbered in pencil

Framing: Glazed, card mount, fluted gilt wood moulding with antiqued speckling

Total Frame Height: Approx. 67.5 cm (26.6 in)

Total Frame Width: Approx. 53 cm (20.9 in)

Hardware: Strung with hanging twine, ready to hang

Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
